The Delayed CIS Excellence Awards 2020: The Results!

Finally, after more than a year of COVID-induced delay, the winners of the 2020 CIS Excellence Awards, in partnership with Caterer.com, have been announced.

With entries reopening last summer and judging taking place in January and February this year, the final decisions were made by the Awards Advisory Board in March.

Keen to celebrate Scottish hospitality’s highest achievers, particularly after the last year of upheaval, disruption and suffering – and declining the obvious online alternative to a live ceremony – organisers instead came up with a different plan that they hoped would do justice to the winners, sponsors and everyone else concerned in the production of the awards.

Travelling around the country throughout the month of May, organisers and sponsors paid a series of surprise visits to each and every winning individual and establishment, filming their reactions and staying on for a chat to discuss what the CIS Excellence Awards mean to the people who enter them.

As a consequence, we now have a total of 23 unscripted, unrehearsed clips of the moment each winner discovered they had triumphed in the 2020 CIS Excellence Awards.

The results and photos can be viewed here and the videos will be available on YouTube and social media as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who took part this year and who made it such fun. Thank you also to our loyal sponsors and congratulations again to all the winners.

We look forward to hearing what you think of the 2020 CIS Excellence Awards.
